Instructions

You can choose the old-fashioned method of mailing us an order form with your check or money order, or the faster and more convenient option of ordering via Paypal. Your cost is the same in both cases.

a. Paypal orders:

1. E-mail us at info@terrapin-gardens.com with a list and quantity of the plants you wish to order. Please include your delivery address. and tell us that you wish to pay via Paypal.
2. We will send you an e-mail message confirming that the plants are available. We will also calculate your total and send you a Paypal invoice via email.
3. Follow the directions in the Paypal invoice to send in your payment. If you don't already have a Paypal account (which is free), Paypal will prompt you for credit card information.
4. We will confirm payment and schedule the shipment of your plants via e-mail.

b. Mail orders:

1. E-mail us at info@terrapin-gardens.com to make sure the plants you want are available. We will send you an e-mail confirmation.
2. Print out the order form.
3. Fill it out completely. Make sure to follow the instructions on the form to figure out shipping charges, and calculate the total amount due. Please print neatly.
4. Send the completed order form with your check or money order to:

Shipping schedule

We ship most plants in the spring (April-May), in 3.5-inch or 4-inch pots. We do not ship in June, July, or August. In September and October, when we resume shipping, our plants are larger, and shipping charges rise dramatically. We ship some of the larger plants bare-root, but others are available for local pickup only -- please inquire. Succulents can be shipped year-round, unless the weather in your area is extremely cold. Please note that plants do sell out, and may not be available until the following year. We will do our best to keep this Web site up-to-date with information on plant size and availability, but it's best to send us e-mail before you order.

Plants are shipped Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday via U.S. Priority Mail, so they will arrive at your doorstep before the weekend. If you indicate your e-mail address on the order form, we will confirm receipt of your order and tell you when your plants will be shipped.

We welcome visits to our small nursery, but please e-mail us first. We are open by appointment only.

Shipping costs

We've kept our prices reasonable for small orders while adding a per-plant charge for 4 or more plants, to keep in step with rising shipping costs.

Plants are shipped via U.S. Priority Mail (generally 2-3 days delivery).

There is no minimum order, but there is a minimum shipping charge, depending on your geographical location:

• WA, OR, CA, ID, MT: $10.00 flat rate for 1-3 plants
  Add $0.75 per plant for 4 or more plants
• AZ, NV, CO, NM, MT, UT, WY: $12.00 flat rate for 1-3 plants
  Add $1.00 per plant for 4 or more plants
• All other states: $15.00 flat rate for 1-3 plants
  Add $1.50 per plant for 4 or more plants

We ship only to U.S. addresses -- no international orders please.

Additional notes:

• Exceptions to the shipping rates above are noted in the online catalog. For example, we charge a flat $7 rate for Dioscorea elephantipes.
• Plants in 1-gallon or larger pots are available for local pick-up only.
• Residents of Hawaii and Alaska, please inquire about additional shipping costs.
• Washington residents also pay 9.5% WA sales tax.
• Sorry, we are unable to export to other countries.

Guarantees

Plants are guaranteed to arrive at your doorstep alive and healthy; however, they may be dormant, depending on the season. If there is a problem with your order, please notify us within 7 days. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the plant.

We cannot predict how a particular plant will do in your climate and growing conditions, so how they fare is up to you. We cannot take responsibility if they fail.
